- Fat-Bottom Revue Mardi Gras Party
Saturday March 1, 2003 * 8p.m.
Fat Tuesday is just around the corner, and who better to celebrate this holiday of indulgence with than the fabulous burlesque dancers of the Original Fat-Bottom Revue? Be sure to remember some folding money for tips! Big Burlesque founder Heather MacAllister promises patrons a very good time. "People who come to our shows love a good party," she says, "and Mardi Gras celebrates decadence, voluptuousness, and pleasures of the flesh." In this spirit, the troupe has whipped up a spicy little gumbo of old-school burlesque, sexy comic bits, and daring dance numbers to everything from hot jazz to hip-shakin' blues. Also appearing are the Phat Fly Girls--the Bay Area's own size-inclusive hip hop company--and the incomparable Diva as emcee.
